For a few years I participated in a semi-weekly informal lettering contest with a group of Type West / Type@Cooper West alums. In our class, we had used a tool called TypeCooker, which generates random “recipes” for different types of letterforms as prompts for lettering practice. We used our own recipe generator (with wilder options), drew text based (sometimes loosely) on the recipes, voted on our favorites, and posted the results here. These are some of my entries.
